Father's Day
8am | Traditional Worship
10am | Contemporary Worship
—
Join us this Father’s Day as we celebrate, honor, and pray for the incredible men who lead, love, and shape our families and community. Whether you're a dad, grandpa, mentor, or father figure, we want to lift you up and thank God for you.
We'll enjoy a meaningful morning together with an inspirational message during worship, bagels and cream cheese on the patio, a fun photo opportunity for family portraits, and a cold Dad’s Rootbeer to toast the day. Bring the whole family and help us make this a joy-filled Father’s Day at Good Shepherd!
To give father’s more time with their kids, Youth Group is in recess that evening.

Backpack Donation Drive
Collecting June 15 & 22 on the Church Patio
Or submit donations through our Amazon Wish List
—
Alaska may be known for its natural beauty, but it's also one of the least church-attending states in the U.S.—a true mission field in need of hope and support. Each summer, a team from Good Shepherd travels to Anchorage to partner with Graceworks Alaska and lead a Vacation Bible School that brings the love of Jesus to local kids. This year, you can be part of the impact by donating backpacks!
This year, we’re aiming to collect 60 backpacks to bless the children we’ll serve.
Backpacks can be purchased through our Amazon Wish List or dropped off on the Church Patio Sunday Morning June 15 & 22. Help us equip kids in Anchorage with the supplies they need—and remind them they are seen, loved, and supported.

Vacation Bible School
Registration has closed.

VBS Youth After Party
Celebrate the end of an awesome VBS week at our Youth After‑Party, where all 6th–12th graders—whether you served all week long or just want to hang out—can kick off summer with a waterslide, epic water‑balloon battle, and other splash‑filled games. Prefer to stay dry? Dive into board games, foosball, ping‑pong, a foam axe‑throwing station, and a stash of Nerf blasters instead.
Lunch is included to keep everyone fueled, and the cost to attend is just $5, payable during registration.

VBS Celebration Sunday
Continue the adventure of Vacation Bible School (VBS) by joining us the Sunday after! All the kids from our Preschool and community that attended VBS are gathering their families to worship with us. We’ll sing the songs we’ve sung all week, dive deeper into the week's lessons, and worship together. Following the service, we’ll have lunch, bounce houses, face painting, and more.
We kindly ask that you RSVP to ensure we have enough food for lunch!

Congregational Meeting
God has so richly blessed our church and we'd like to tell you about it! Add the date to your calendar & we’ll see you there.

Men's Breakfast
Join us for Good Shepherd’s Men’s Breakfast this March as we welcome Mike Ebbing, a longtime Good Shepherd member with an incredible story to share. Some may remember Mike’s previous talk on the 50th anniversary of the Watergate Break-In. This time, he’s taking a more personal approach, reflecting on his faith journey in a presentation titled:
“27-50: After Nixon, Before Jesus”
Mike will share his powerful testimony about how he spent 27 years ignoring Jesus' call—even as God orchestrated moments in his life—and how everything changed when he finally opened his heart to Christ. Now, after 50 years of walking with Jesus, Mike will reflect on the challenges, blessings, and unwavering faith that have shaped his journey.
With a unique background serving in the White House Communications Agency from 1970-72 under President Nixon, Mike’s story weaves together history, faith, and personal transformation. He’ll take us back to his early years, his time at the Nixon White House—including fascinating insights from historic events—and how, through it all, God had a plan for his life.
Don’t miss this engaging and inspiring morning of faith, fellowship, and breakfast!
Date: Saturday, March 8
Time: 8:30 am
Location: Good Shepherd's Youth Room
All men are welcome—invite a friend and join us for a morning that promises great food, great company, and a story of redemption you won’t forget!

Adult Bible Study in Hebrews
Sundays at 9:10 am
Discovery Room
Join us during Community Hours on Sundays as we begin a new Max Lucado study on the book of Hebrews. The Jewish believers were torn between their new faith in Jesus and their old ways rooted in Old Testament routines and rituals. They were tempted to go back to their familiar life that seemed "good enough". The author of Hebrews shows that when Jesus came the "best got better".
Come join us as we learn and share in this wonderful study!

Prayer Mornings
Thursdays in January
9:00 am in the Sanctuary
—
Start your day by seeking God’s presence and aligning your heart with His will. Every week in January, join us for a dedicated time of prayer as we embark on this season of discernment together. Drawing inspiration from David in 1 Samuel, we will consecrate this new season to the Lord, setting it apart for what He is doing in and through our church. Come center your heart on Christ and lift up the future of our congregation. All are welcome to participate in this meaningful time of spiritual focus.
