Upcoming EVENTS
We believe in time spent with God, with others, and serving others.
Join us as we gather with our church body and our community in these upcoming events.

It's Okay to Say No: Parenting Class
Saying “no” isn’t shutting the door on your child—it’s opening the way to self-discipline, resilience, and respect for others. This class will equip parents with practical tools for setting consistent limits that foster growth and prepare children for real-world challenges. Join us for an evening that includes a catered dinner, meaningful time in community, and fun raffles just for parents, as Sandy Avzaradel, M.S.Ed., Director of Start Well, shares wisdom and encouragement for building healthy boundaries at home.
Cost: Adults $10, Child $5
Childcare for birth through 5th grade will be available for $5 per child.

Trunk or Treat
Hosted by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church & Preschool
REGISTRATION CLOSES October 12
---
Bring the whole family for a night of fall fun at Good Shepherd’s annual Trunk or Treat! Kids can trick-or-treat from creatively decorated trunks and enjoy games, crafts, a cake walk, photo ops, caramel apples, and pizza for dinner. This event is free to attend, but space is limited—registration is required and closes October 12.
Adults, you can be part of the fun too! Help us welcome our community by donating candy, decorating a trunk, or serving during the event. Every bag of candy and every hour of service makes it possible for us to create a safe, joy-filled space where families experience the love of Christ in practical and meaningful ways.

In lieu of an attendance fee, we ask that you bring a donation item. This year, we are gathering items for the a local school -

Kids & Youth Volunteer Training
Whether you're already serving or just curious about jumping in, join us after worship for our Kids & Youth Volunteer Training! This gathering is for all who serve—or are interested in serving—in our Nursery, Kids Ministry, Jr High, or High School programs.
We’ll cover important updates, share tips for leading with confidence, and spend time encouraging one another as we head into the new ministry year. Lunch is provided, and all are welcome—whether you're a seasoned volunteer or brand new to the team!

VBS Celebration Sunday
Continue the adventure of Vacation Bible School (VBS) by joining us the Sunday after! All the kids from our Preschool and community that attended VBS are gathering their families to worship with us. We’ll sing the songs we’ve sung all week, dive deeper into the week's lessons, and worship together. Following the service, we’ll have lunch, bounce houses, face painting, and more.
We kindly ask that you RSVP to ensure we have enough food for lunch!

Family Life Groups
Each Sunday Night, families with birth through High School age kids join together for Family Life Groups! While our Jr High and High School students attend Youth Group, and time in community with games and fun for the kids, parents get to experience encouragement, prayer, and support while studying the Bible.
Candy
Donation Drive
Collecting Sundays
in September
Our annual Trunk or Treat is just around the corner, and we need your help to make it sweet! Thanks to your generous candy donations, we’re able to extend the invitation across our city—welcoming families onto our campus for a safe and fun Halloween experience. Please consider dropping off a bag (or two!) of candy at the table on the Church Patio. Your gift of candy helps us share the love of Christ in a practical and joyful way with our community.
